Rape Victim Arrested, Jailed For Two Days

What do you get when you go to the Tampa Bay police to report being raped? Well, you get arrested of course. At least thats what recently happened to a 21-year-old college student who was held in jail for two days on the basis of a four-year-old warrant accusing her of not paying restitution for a theft.

To top it all off, a worker at the jail refused to give her the morning after pill because it was against their religious beliefs. She was not allowed to take the pill until the next day, which was a day late.

If you’re ever in Tampa Bay and have a crime committed against you be careful reporting it to the police. They may just arrest you instead.
