That is a most accurate statement which leads me to ask why Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul was left out of the poll results? I ask of you as well: * Was Ron Paul included in the poll questions? * If so, why was he not included in the results? * Is it your belief that this poll represents fair and accurate journalism, and is representative of day to day efforts in journalism and fair reporting by your staff? I would also like to note that the poll seems to take candidates from all tiers of the potential Republican Party nominees (such as Tommy Thompson, Duncan Hunter, and Sam Brownback) yet still does not include Paul in it's analysis. Furthermore, a previous poll from 4/11/07 titled "2008 presidential match ups" makes no mention of Dr. Paul. Given the analysis stated in the first lines of STUDY #545, which I quote at the top of the page, the conservative element of the Republican Party displays a lack of excitement for the candidates named in your poll results. However, both Congressman Paul's voting record and his individuality are soundly and sensibly conservative in spades, trumping many of the candidates listed in your poll. Why was a straight and sensible conservative left out of a poll in which he may have played a key role in the outcome? If you find the polling methods used here to be below the standards of ethics of journalism, or if you find the methods to be simply distasteful, I urge you to make any changes necessary to carry on a legacy of fairness and a lack of bias.
