Like you said, if only Libertarians spent more time explaining to Americans how smaller government could work, instead of how big government is bad, they would get much more support. Government has no right to pick our friends, tell us with whom we can communicate, and approve or disapprove our marriage choices. It is OUR lives and OUR choice! The International Marriage Broker Act sanctions communication with non-U.S. residents for friendship and romance. It is the epitome of a Big Brother law and needs to be seriously modified or done away with. If someone living in El Paso, TX wants to meet a lady in Juarez, and finds a column that introduces eligible singles in Mexico, he should be free to use it without government censorship and the threat of being denied the freedom to marry whom he chooses.
