Man Brings Gun to Health Care Rally [Video]

Posted by RottingNation On August - 12 - 2009

At a recent “Town Hall Meeting” in Portsmouth New Hampshire a man was spotted open-carrying a loaded fire arm on his lower leg. The main stream media, particularly MSNBC, was shocked and appalled by this. “How could a man be allowed to exercise his second amendment right”, they seemed to be asking.

Some notable facts: The man was on the private private property of a church and the owners of that property knew he was there and permitted his presence. Obama was going to be at a near by high school hours later. Also, open-carry is legal in New Hampshire and the firearm was registered correction: guns do not have to be registerd in NH and this one was not. MSNBC got this wrong. Law enforcement was aware of his presence and the crowd did not seem to be bothered. Only the media was making a big deal out of the situation.

Some reactions from MSNBC pundits. Notice how they pull the race card:

The man was later identified as William Kostric. He was later interviewed on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews. Personally I think Kostric did a great job of disarming the notoriously hotheaded Matthews. He got his viewpoint out there without raising his voice and without allowing Matthews to step all over him.

I will let Kostric speak for himself on the reasons why he decided to open carry at the event:

Guns don’t need to be registered in New Hampshire.

Here is another good interview with William.

My son told me to check out your blog and I must say I’m impressed, very helpful.

Why do conservatives constantly play victim?

Is passive-agressive behavor just hard-wired in to your personality, or is it paranoia that makes you feel everyone is picking on you??

Eight years of a boy-king who discarded the constitution as a piece of worthless scrap… He played you like suckers; sending your brothers and sons and fathers to fight and die a war based on a concocted story, a lie. No one will ever know how many trillions of dollars were spent to cover this lie…and was it worth it? HA! the Iraq people are voting to “oust” the Americans from their country. Remember…the oil was going to pay for our investment. tell that to the 4600 Americans who’ve unneedly died to cover the boy-king. I won’t even go into violations of principals this country was founded on: warrentless wiretaps, detention without being charged, outing spys when they are truthful and won’t lie to cover a lie; firing sworn officials because they wouldn’t go after political enemies…(Where were all of you then??

Conservatives?? HA! you’re weakling sheep. stop buying into the crap and start thinking for yourself.

I love the 2nd amendment. I have owned all sorts of guns all of my life. I cringe and am embarrased when I see this display of idiocy (guns to a rally) on TV.

Carrying a weapon to a rally is ignorant, and this just proves it without a doubt. If you need to show up at a rally packing a sidearm or rifle, you’re a punk and a weakling.

When you deal with a man face to face, you stand up and be a man or be a weakling.

if you have nothing but threats, you have nothing. If you need a gun to prove you’re a man…you are nothing.

stop embarrasing yourselves and this country. its shameful.

Your criticism falls flat in your first sentence. I am not a conservative. Look through my blog, search for Bush’s name and look at the criticism I threw at him. Read the following link for a good example:

If you look at the front page I am advocating an end to the War on Drugs. Absolutely not a conservative position.

I am not a conservative, or, more specifically, a neo-con. I think the term libertarian probably more accurately describes my belief set, though the word has been tarnished.

    stop being such a twat.
    “bush lied = people died”
an overwhelming MAJORITY of dems agreed on the “need” to go into iraq, due to the imminent threat hussein posed on the international community, yet you all conveniently sweep that fact under the rug.
    typical douchebag-liberal slant
