Ron Paul Wins Again

Posted in Debate, FOXNEWS, Fox News, Primary Elections, Republican Primary, Ron Paul, Video on October 22nd, 2007 by RottingNation

Ron Paul managed to win yet another Fox News post-debate text messaging poll. I feel the need to remind the skeptics out there that any cell phone number is only allowed to vote once in the poll (that means NO SPAMMING). If noting else, this shows that Dr. Paul has the most active base of supporters of all the Republican contenders. Here are the results:

Ron Paul - 34%
Mike Huckabee - 27%
Rudy Giuliani - 11%
Mitt Romney - 10%
Fred Thompson - 9%
John McCain - 5%

It is also interesting to note that Huckabee placed second in the poll after his strong showing at the Values Voter Summit. Where have all the ‘top-tier’ candidates gone? People are finally getting sick of the war mongering and big spending “Republicans”.

Here is Dr. Paul in a post debate interview with Hannity and Colmes:

Solid performance.

The Iowans love him! Romney tries to pull a Giuliani and says, “Has he forgotten about 9/11,” but Paul sticks his finger up saying, “Just a moment,” and continues on with his answer.

GOP Candidates Shy Away From YouTube Debate

Posted in CNN, Debate, Election 08, Republican Primary, YouTube on July 27th, 2007 by RottingNation

CNN and YouTube are holding a debate on September 17th for the Republican candidates.  It will follow the same format as the recent Democratic YouTube debate; the questions will be submitted via YouTube videos created by everyday users of the site.

Most of the Democratic candidates showed up to their debate.

The Republican version might turn out to be a different story.  At this time, Ron Paul and John McCain are the only two candidates who have agreed to attend the debate.

So where are the other candidates?

Mitt Romney criticized the Democratic debate saying to the Manchester Union Leader, “I think the presidency ought to be held at a higher level than having to answer questions from a snowman”.

I hope Mr. Romney realizes that the question he is referring to was not actually asked by a snowman.  Rather, it was a creative way for an average person to get their question into the debate by being entertaining.  Get a sense of humor man!

It might be better for the John McCain and Ron Paul campaigns if the ‘front-runners’ do not attend the debate.  This will allow them to get more of the speaking time that is usually reserved for those candidates.

Besides, I’m sick of hearing Giuliani’s fear mongering anyway!

Iowans for Tax Relief and Iowa Christian Alliance will host a presidential candidates forum on Saturday, June 30th in Des Moines.  Republican presidential candidates Mitt Romney, Sam Brownback, Jim Gilmore, Mike Huckabee, Tommy Thompson, and Tom Tancredo will participate.

Ron Paul, however, will not participate.  Why?  Because he wasn’t invited.

Ron Paul 2008 chairman John Snyder was interviewed by Jan Mickelson of WHO News Radio 1040 in Des Moines about the incident.  Jan Mickelson of WHO News Radio 1040 in Des Moines.  Get the MP3 here (right-click save as).  The interview starts at 1:01:16.
