Its official: Ryan Reynolds will be taking the lead role in the upcoming ‘Green Lantern’ feature film, which is slated to be released in 2011.

Being a fan of Reynolds, I think this is a great choice. Some fans of the comic seem to disagree. They don’t think that Reynolds can break from his typecast wise-cracking romantic comedy role.

To them I say watch ‘The Nines’ or ‘Chaos Theory’ and tell me you still doubt his acting abilities.
